澳大利亚肉类及畜牧业协会（MLA）发布了《2025年山羊肉全球概况》，报告显示过去一年澳大利亚山羊肉产量、出口量均创下纪录，全球需求保持强劲。

报告指出，尽管澳大利亚的山羊肉产量不足全球供应量的1%，但其进一步巩固了全球最大山羊肉出口国的地位，约占全球出口总量的61%。

2025年，澳大利亚山羊肉出口量达到创纪录的61,766吨（装运重量），较2024年增长20%；出口额飙升至4.64亿澳元，同比增长28%。

在有利的季节条件、供应增加以及加工能力扩大的支持下，澳大利亚山羊肉产量也攀升至新高，达到63,672吨（胴体重量），同比增长18%。

MLA高级市场信息分析师埃米利亚诺·迪亚兹表示，2025年概况显示该行业取得了突出成绩，并进一步巩固了澳大利亚的全球领导地位。

“2025年概况突显了澳大利亚山羊肉行业的快速发展速度，创纪录的产量和出口正满足强劲的全球需求，”迪亚兹先生表示。

其他市场也促进了出口的多元化：加拿大进口量增长89%，成为澳大利亚第四大出口目的地；中国大陆则保持第三大山羊肉市场的地位。

全球范围内，山羊肉消费仍与南亚、中东、加勒比及非洲社区的文化饮食和传统密切相关。

然而，报告指出，在瘦高蛋白肉类需求以及消费者对替代蛋白兴趣增加的推动下，山羊肉正获得这些传统市场以外的更多关注。

迪亚兹先生表示，持续增长将依赖于可及性的提高和消费者熟悉度的增加。

“供应的增加和产品一致性的改善，正帮助山羊肉从餐饮服务渠道拓展到主要市场的零售渠道，”迪亚兹先生说。

“建立消费者对山羊肉烹饪方法的认知和信心，对于释放更多需求至关重要，MLA正通过其每年在大都市市场举办的‘Goat Trail’营销活动积极支持这一工作。”

报告还指出，产量的增加改善了国内市场的供应情况，为在满足出口需求的同时扩大澳大利亚本土消费创造了新机遇。

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has released the Goatmeat Global Snapshot 2025, highlighting record production, exports and strong global demand for Australian goatmeat over the past year.

The report shows Australia further strengthening its position as the world’s leading goatmeat exporter, accounting for around 61% of global export volume, despite producing less than 1% of global supply.

In 2025, Australian goatmeat exports reached a record 61,766 tonnes shipped weight (swt), up 20% on 2024, while export value surged to $464 million, 28% higher year-on-year.

Production also climbed to new highs, with Australian goatmeat output rising 18% to 63,672 tonnes carcase weight, supported by favourable seasonal conditions, increased supply and expanded processing capacity.

MLA Senior Market Information Analyst Emiliano Diaz said the 2025 snapshot highlights a standout year for the industry and reinforces Australia’s global leadership.

“The 2025 snapshot underscores how rapidly Australia’s goatmeat industry is evolving, with record production and exports meeting strong global demand,” Mr Diaz said.

“While goatmeat remains a niche protein globally, demand is expanding as consumers seek nutritious, high-quality and more diverse protein options, and Australia is well placed to lead that growth.”

The United States remained Australia’s largest market in 2025, accounting for 48% of exports, with shipments reaching a record 29,649 tonnes. Korea continued its strong growth trajectory, with exports increasing 23% year-on-year and rising more than eightfold since 2020.

Other markets contributed to increasing diversification, with Canada recording an 89% increase in imports to become Australia’s fourth largest export destination, while Mainland China maintained its position as the third largest market for goatmeat.

Globally, goatmeat consumption remains closely linked to cultural cuisines and traditions across South Asian, Middle Eastern, Caribbean and African communities.

However, the report highlights growing interest beyond these segments, supported by demand for lean, high protein meats and increased curiosity for alternative proteins.

Mr Diaz said continued growth will be driven by improving accessibility and consumer familiarity.

“Greater supply and improved consistency are helping goatmeat move beyond foodservice into retail channels across key markets,” Mr Diaz said.

“Building awareness and confidence in how to prepare goatmeat is critical to unlocking further demand, and MLA is actively supporting this through its annual Goat Trail marketing campaign across metropolitan markets.”

The report also notes that increasing production has improved availability in the domestic market, creating new opportunities to grow consumption within Australia alongside export demand.

With strong fundamentals in place and demand continuing to broaden globally, Australia’s goatmeat industry is well positioned to build on its record 2025 performance.
